On 4 July 2025, the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband, announced that consent has been granted for the Mona Offshore Wind Farm. Before the project can move into the construction phase, Mona Offshore Wind Farm requires a Marine Licence to be issued by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and will continue to work with NRW in support of a timely grant of the licence.

Morgan
The Morgan Generation Assets Examination closed on 10 March 2025. There will now be a period of three months for the Examining Authority to write its report and make a recommendation to the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State will then have three months in which to make a decision.
